Lend a helping hand to make our Spring Book Fair a success! Get a sneak peek at inventory and help us set up the Book Fair, help classes preview the Fair and make their wish lists, help at the checkout counter, give us a hand in setting up or donating food for the Teacher Preview, or help us tear down the Fair when it is over. If you are able to volunteer your time, we would love to have your help! Sign up to volunteer here.
Thank you in advance for making the Book Fair a fun event for our little readers!

S'more Fun with Books!
Come out this Saturday for an afternoon of family fun! Our 2nd Annual Family Fitness Day will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at Claxton. Families will be able to try out some dance moves with Nan's School of Dance and taekwondo with Taekwondo America. You also will have the opportunity to try yoga, Zumba, and participate in a family PE class with Mrs. Walker, Claxton's favorite PE teacher.

Spring cleaning? Consider donating your unwanted clothes to the Claxton Clothing Exchange. We will take donations until March 24 of gently worn clothes for boys, girls, babies, and adults, in the large boxes (one for boys, one for girls) located outside the front office.
On March 25 from 1-4pm, all of the clothes will be displayed ready for people to shop for "new" clothes for FREE! If you and your family need some new clothes, come shop! Everything is FREE! FREE! FREE! You do not need to donate something in order to shop for new things.
Trek Bicycles, Proehlific Park, Stroller Strides, and Crazy Running will also be represented, and you do not want to miss what they have in store. While you are there, you will be able to shop at our book fair and then stop in for FREE clothes at the clothing exchange. All activities (except for purchasing books at the book fair) are FREE! Bring your family, comfortable clothes, and a water bottle, and get ready to move and have fun! All activities are family friendly, so bring the whole crew.
Aside from being great keepsakes and wonderful gifts for family, products featuring student artwork help stock Claxton's art classroom with supplies. When you order a coffee mug, pack of thank-you notes, magnet, garden flag, or other Art by Me item with your child's artwork on it, Claxton earns money. Last year, nearly 100% of Mrs. Creech's art supplies were purchased with funds raised through the Art by Me program.
Order Art by Me! Fun, Useful Products for a Great Cause
Think ahead: Art by Me items make great gifts for celebrations year-round. Get that coffee mug for Aunt Irene, mouse pad for Uncle Clarence... and wouldn't Grandma love a colorful garden flag? Don't forget a sketch pad for your own budding artist! Preview items to purchase at: http://www.artbyme.com/ProductGallery/tabid/89/Default.aspx
Look for order forms in your kids' backpacks, and be sure to get orders in by the deadline.
Step inside one of 18 selected Guilford County schools on April 5th to see firsthand what is being accomplished to help all of our students SOAR! Breakfast will be provided as small groups assemble across the district for an eye-opening discussion about the unique assets and challenges at each school.
Together, we can help our students SOAR to great heights - not just today, but for a lifetime!
